This ministry is a network of Christian support for chemically-dependent persons. It is comprised of alcoholics, drug addicts and people with other compulsive disorders. We believe that alcoholism is an addiction and that the individual cannot control his or her own dependency - only Jesus Christ can bring freedom. We use the "12 Steps" method, along with Biblical references.
Vision
Only Jesus Christ can bring true, lasting freedom to those caught in addiction and compulsive behaviors, but this is not one-step spirituality. Yes, in Jesus Christ we do have all we need in order to overcome, but His provision must be diligently worked out by shedding our self-directed lives, in order to embrace a personal daily relationship with Jesus Christ. It is our hope that those who attend the Wesleyan Church and also others in the community will be drawn to discover and develop a closer walk with Jesus Christ.
Schedule
We meet every Monday & Friday evenings at 7:00 p.m. (except during snow storms or on major Monday holidays)
Opportunities
Although the group has assigned facilitators who lead meetings, we welcome the opportunity to invite others to our safe environment. Those attending often minister to each other by sharing experiences and lending spiritual support. Our ministry brings together recovering individuals who have recognized Jesus Christ as their "Higher Power" with those who are still seeking Him.
