WEEKENDS
Base Camp Adventure & Worship
Sundays at 9:30 & 11:00 AM
At Base Camp we believe the Bible should never be boring,
worship can be really loud and good leaders always care.
Our curriculum is 252 Basics.
Based on Luke 2:52 the curriculum is built around
Three Basic Truths:
Wisdom: I need to make the wise choice.
Faith: I can trust God no matter what.
Friendship: I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
On Sundays, kids are divided
into two group environments:
K-1st grades and 2nd-5th grades.
Our K-1 students...
Begin their Sunday adventure in their small group classrooms
where they are welcomed by caring, experienced leaders. There they
“plug in” to the point of the day. About 10 minutes later they transition
to their energetic large group environment in the Celebration Center,
where they experience the Bible through storytelling and worship
with lively music and more. Kids then travel back to their small groups
where their leaders help them understand the day’s Bible point
and how it can fit into their everyday lives through games,
crafts, discussion and tons of fun with friends that will last.
2nd-5th grade students:
Large Group Environment:
Kids begin with their large group experience in the gym.
The fast-paced hour begins with drama, storytelling, video & music.
Small Group Environment:
Following larger group, kids travel to their small group classrooms
where their leaders help them understand how the day’s bottom line
can fit into their everyday life. Small group is fun! Kids experience games,
Bible memory, crafts, science & more! Kids see how
God’s Word fits in
their lives, learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last.
That is why it’s important your child connect
with the same friends, same leader, at the same hour--
EVERY SUNDAY!!
Saturday Evenings at 6:30 PM
Kindergarten through 5th grade children come together
for this “scaled down” version of our Sunday morning Base Camp
Adventure & Worship. Biblical learning, Christian virtues and character development are the focus of this fun and active evening.
Weekend Resources on the Web!
Each weekend your child comes, he will be given a GodTime card.
It’s a great tool to help your child continue learning and applying biblical
principles learned. If your child is absent, go to the church website, www.wchamburg.org and click Children’s Ministry, then
Elementary and you will find GodTime cards to download.
